Debuting with the U.S. Marine Corps in July 2015, the F-35B Lightning is the short takeoff and vertical landing (STOVL) variant of the F-35 Lightning. This all-weather, single-engine fighter is equally formidable in air-superiority and ground-attack roles. Measuring 8 inches long and with a 5 1/2 inch wingspan, this aircraft's pullback motor propels the diecast fighter forward in a takeoff position as it balances on two larger rear wheels.
